Some things which i wanted to share with all:
Coracles or odam or parisal: The one we went in was made with bamboo in a hemisphere sort of way. Its covered with cement bags stitched together and painted outside with tar. It was qiute sturdy and in places where we had to walk our boatmen walked faster with it. :P
For fish-food freaks: There are a group of ladies who are ready to cook for you anything to do with fish if you tell them too. Some had fish ready with turmeric smeared over it. If you want they'll roast it for you on-the-spot.

Ha Ha Ha... that was the first time i saw fish being cooked. But one of my friends said " naaku oorude" so i guess its quite yummy :-)
